Erode Precision Farm Producer Company Ltd (EPFPCL) was incorporated on 16.10 2008 with 50 shareholder-farmers of Precision Farm Project, implemented by Tamil Nadu Agricultural University in 150 ha at Modakurichi and Kodumudi Blocks of Erode district. EPFPCL is the pioneering producer company in TamilNadu which has set mile stores with successful cases in 4 business units and serving the farming fraternity. Farm inputs shops, Kisan Kendra outlet of IOC, Seed Processing Unit and Coconut Processing Centre are the business ventures which are managed profitably.
EPFPCL has made a history by promoting more than 100 FPOs in the past 5 years as Resource Institution for NABARD, Small Farmers AgriBusiness Consortium (SFAC) and Tamil Nadu Small Farmers Agribusiness Consortium (TNSFAC). Currently it has taken a role as Cluster Based Business Organization (CBBO) for National Cooperatives Development Corporation (NCDC) and National Farmers Cooperative Marketing Federation of India (NAFED).
Presently, the SFAC-GoI, NABARD, NAFED, TNSFAC and NCDC have empanelled EPFPCL as Cluster based Business Organisation (CBBO) and assigned 30 FPOs to be promoted in Tamil Nadu and Andaman – Nicobar Islands. Now EPFPCL has emerged as Master Trainer for Farmers of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The State government of Tamil Nadu has honoured the EPFPCL with the State
