An impact study about the welfare schemes for Sericulture farmers in Tamil Nadu

Our team evaluated the initiatives of the Central Silk Board in Tamil Nadu, assessing the impact of the centrally sponsored scheme for sericulture development.

We conducted in-depth focus group discussions across two districts, gathering insights from stakeholders, including sericulture farmers, reelers, and weavers.

We analysed secondary data from various sources, including government reports and industry publications.

Our impact analysis revealed opportunities for improvement in the sericulture value chain, identifying areas where the scheme could be optimised to increase productivity, quality, and profitability.

Our recommendations were widely accepted by stakeholders, and the final report was recognized as the best among similar studies across India, contributing to the betterment of the sericulture industry in Tamil Nadu.

Efficiently Executing Crop Cutting Experiments for Paddy

An academic and research institution needed to conduct an extensive crop cutting experiment for a GIZ-funded project in Tamil Nadu but faced resource constraints. The project required detailed data collection across numerous paddy plots in Thiruvallur and Thiruvarur districts.

To meet this challenge, we mobilised a team of over 15 skilled resources to efficiently carry out the experiment. Covering around 400 plots, we ensured accurate and timely data collection, contributing valuable insights for the project.

Our intervention allowed the institution to focus on its core research activities while we managed the complex logistics of the fieldwork.

The successful execution of the crop cutting experiment provided crucial data, enhancing the overall impact and effectiveness of the GIZ-funded project. By efficiently managing the resources and ensuring thorough data collection, we contributed to the advancement of research in the agricultural sector.
