Sourcing support for community kitchen venture

A social enterprise working in food waste management dedicated to minimising food waste faced a significant challenge: they lacked the internal resources to efficiently source vegetables for their community kitchen. With the mission to serve about 1,000 meals daily, they needed a reliable sourcing solution.

We stepped in to support their goal by piloting a No Crop Waste Initiative in Krishnagiri and Dharmapuri districts of Tamil Nadu. Our team facilitated the sourcing of fresh vegetables from Hosur and Palacode areas, ensuring a steady supply for their kitchen.

The impact was transformative: the initiative not only reduced waste but also enabled the kitchen to provide nutritious meals consistently. This successful project highlighted how strategic sourcing can support social enterprises in their mission to create positive community impact while tackling food waste.
